Retreats sponsored by CCM are held each year. It’s a great way to get to know other Catholics at UCA and Hendrix, experience spiritual growth and have great fun. Also, the statewide convention, held in the spring, is a great way to connect to other college students from around the state. If you’d like to attend more retreats, check out the Links page.

Retreats

The theme for this year’s Convention is “Vocation Vacation...The Calling.”

We begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 20 with registration. Our keynote speaker this year is Marcos Martinez with Catholic Relief Services. Later in the evening dinner will be provided with a Fiesta Buffet, followed by the dance*. The theme for this dance is “Vacation,” so wear your favorite (CCM appropriate—no bathing suits!) vacation attire. (Hawaiian shirts reminiscent of Magnum are a-okay! You do know Magnum, right?)

*Songs for the dance held on Saturday night are needed! Send your songs titles—again, CCM appropriate—to Kerry Evans. She will compile a list and submit to CCM Headquarters to be included in the playlist for the dance. Also, for the convention, we need design suggestions for the Convention t-shirt. Put together a design incorporating the theme—vacation—and send to (the very busy) Kerry Evans.

You will need to complete the registration form (more details about the convention can be found here) and the medical release form. You’ll need to bring a copy of your insurance card. Detailed questions can be addressed by Deacon Richard Papini.
