Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) - is the official communication studies honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA). LPH was founded at the University of Arkansas and became part of the NCA in 1988.  In 1995, LPH became the official honor society for the NCA.

LPH represents Aristotle's three ingredients of persuasion:

bulletLogos (Lambda) - Meaning Logic

bulletPathos (Pi) - Meaning Emotion

bulletEthos (Eta) - Meaning Credibility and Ethics
